Here are a bunch of photos we've shot over the last few years that have become invaluable to us in making our model stones look so real.  What started out as a simple quest to find a basic typical New England railroad underpass turned into a compulsive fascination as soon as it was realized that no two abutments were alike.  Each one fit it's need and location for the time, but soon became obsolete as soon as larger vehicles started to roam the roads.  Some were as low as 9 ft, which made driving an 18 wheeler under them rather tight.  Luckily some city planners  took the cheap route and lowered the road and the original abutments still stand for us to admire.  Others are quickly disappearing as roads become more and more congested and require widening.  So, in the name of keeping history alive, here's a collection of what we've encountered so far.

There's also a lot of other stone related pictures, too.   I'll fill in the captions as soon as I can, but as they say," A picture is worth a thousand words"  , so stare at the pictures.  Most are self explanatory.  The whole idea is to come up with something that fits your need.  If you see something close, but slightly different than what you want, NE Brownstone can get you started and on your way. We can make anything you see here, if you don't want to.

This is copyrighted material, but you can use it as long as you don't try to sell it.  If that's the case, we want a cut.
